In your mind, what is Christmas about?
Christmas wouldn’t exist if God hadn’t sent Jesus to be born a man. Jesus was sent to teach us about God. Jesus became the living sacrifice for our sins, so we can be made righteous in God’s eyes. When we ask what is Christmas about, it is all about the sacrifice Jesus made, so we can be reconciled to God.
Jesus brought an amazing message, but most people don’t understand it. Do you know what Jesus’ death on the cross really accomplished?
I know, for me, what I knew about Jesus mostly came from hearsay. Studying the Bible for myself wasn’t a high priority. When I thought what is Christmas about, all I really knew was that it celebrated the birth of Jesus. However, Christmas is about so much MORE than Jesus’ birth!
It was years after I became a Christian before I understood the much deeper meaning of what Christmas is about. Have you ever sought to truly know God and understand the meaning of Christmas?
If not, I’d highly encourage you to grab a Bible study, or two or three. Commit to learning about Jesus. By studying Jesus, you’ll understand the significance of Christmas more deeply.
